Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team and play a critical role in driving our company's expansion. This role involves a keen focus on generating new business opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle, and contributing to our overall growth strategy. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in sales within the IT sector, particularly with an IT company or managed services provider (MSP).
 
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a robust lead generation strategy, ensuring a consistent flow of new business opportunities.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to cultivate relationships with potential clients and partners.
- Meet with potential clients to understand their needs, discuss our services, and identify how our solutions can support their business goals.
- Prepare detailed proposals and service agreements that align closely with client needs while also meeting company objectives.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact through to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and professional client experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to align strategies that enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of market trends, industry challenges, and competitive offerings to effectively position our services.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Provide regular feedback to senior management about marketplace and competitor activity.
 
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and French preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in business development or sales, specifically within the IT industry or an MSP environment.
- Strong understanding of IT products and services with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and business objectives.
- Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and drive.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
 
Desired Experience:
- Experience with CRM software and tools.
- Proven network of contacts in the IT industry.
- Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles.
